On November 30th the National Research Council, opened its doors to introduce the new $5-million Manufacturing and Automotive Innovation Hub. FreePoint was onsite demonstrating our machine monitoring capabilities and discussing the impact of this emerging technology on local manufacturers.
We are excited about this 6,000-square-foot digital factory where advanced manufacturing will be the focal point, here in London, Ontario. The Hub provides access to manufacturers to explore adopting necessary and emerging technologies to improving their manufacturing process.
“We want to become a collaborative centre where people can come and work with us, and see the technology. We will dig deep for research on autonomous vehicles and digital manufacturing (and other areas),” said David Muir, director of the NRC office.
